Missing Link Map Sensor Fix
Have you turbo’d your engine and now have
the problem of your check engine light coming on.
When you add a Turbo to your engine, The MAP Sensor
(Manifold Absolute Pressure) which is designed to
read Vacuum Pressure, will read Turbo Boost and
throw a Check Engine Light. This prevents the Computer
from determining the correct air flow and results
in poor engine performance. The Missing Link intercepts
the Boosted air flow before it hits the MAP Sensor.
This fixes Check Engine Lights, Helps the Computer
to Maintain Proper Air/Fuel Mixtures and provides
smooth Vacuum to Boost Transitions.

Auto Timer
The Apex Auto Timer allows the vehicle to idle for
a preset amount of time after the ignition key has
been removed. In turbocharged vehicles this prevents
hot oil in the engine from coking up in the lines.
Hard driving can raise engine oil temperatures to
dangerously high levels. Proper cool down is essential
for a healthy turbo and engine.
The Auto Timer stands as a technological marvel.
The pen shaped, compact size makes the Auto Timer
one of the smallest turbo timers on the market.
This allows a clean and stylish installation virtually
anywhere inside the car. The unique multi angle
joystick button allows easy navigation through the
many feature menus.
Upgraded in every way from the previous model, the
new Auto Timer can automatically determine the necessary
amount of after idling time. A Manual Mode allows
the user to preset desired idling times from 0 sec.~10
minutes in 16 increments. By inputting O2 sensor
voltage, the Timer can also display theoretical
air fuel ratio. Since the Auto Timer uses the factory
O2 sensor which is primarily designed for emissions,
the readings may not be as accurate as racing air/fuel
ratio monitors. The Timer can also display critical
data such as O2 sensor voltage and Battery Voltage.
To prevent potential theft while running, the handbrake
safety feature shuts off the vehicle when the handbrake
is released without the ignition key.

Rev Speed Metre (RSM)
The new Rev/Speed Meter GP is a complete multi function
measuring device designed to measure and monitor
data such as vehicle speed, engine RPM, and elapsed
times. However, the strength of the new unit lies
in its differences. Probably the most obvious being
its completely redesigned look. This new aesthetically
pleasing model was crafted to match the likes of
other highly popular A'PEX electronics such as the
VAFC (VTEC Controller) and the AVCR (Boost Controller).
The new screen utilizes the easy to read VFD (Vacuum
Fluorescent Display) with built in light sensor
used in many of A'PEX's line up.
The new unit also delivers a host of new functions.
Standard features include: Engine RPM, Vehicle Speed,
Travel Distance, and Battery Voltage (All which
can be displayed in real time graph mode, numerical
mode, or analogue mode; 1-4 channels at a time.),
Peak Hold, Replay (With 60 second playback.), Speed
Limiter Cut, 0-100m, 200m, 400m times with trap
speed, 0-100km/h, 200km/h, 300km/h times, 100km/h,
200km/h, 300km/h E0 times, user defined Mid
Range Acceleration, Stop Watch functions, Best Time
Memory, RPM Warning, Speed Warning, RPM and Speed
Outputs (For external devices requiring an RPM or
speed signal.), Tire Size Correction (For acceleration
and timing accuracy.), and Vehicle weight input.
One of the most exiting of the new features is the
option to utilize the revolutionary A'PEX G-Sensor
(Sold separately). The G Sensor allows the unit
to measure G forces in 4-way front/rear/left/right
directions. This data can be plotted in a graph
display to map acceleration characteristics and
lateral G's on the race track, or used in an array
of new features including: Highly accurate 100m/200m/400m
times with trap speed and wheel-spin correction,
Horsepower Calculation, and Loss Power Calculation.
By taking advantage of the optional G Sensor, the
user can produce extremely accurate acceleration
measurements. Usually, when measuring acceleration
times using the speed sensor signal alone, the meter
will end measurement too early (shorter distance)
due to wheel-spin. Using the G Sensor modifies the
speed sensor signal, compensating for wheel-spin
and producing impeccably accurate acceleration times.
NOTE: Apexi Stand & G-Senor sold separately.

SAFC2
The Super AFC II (Air Flow Converter) is the industry
standard for sub computer fuel control. The S-AFC
II is designed to fine tune and "squeeze"
power out of existing engine setups by allowing
the user to modify the fuel curve with precision
accuracy. Since the act of simply bolting on performance
products does not make maximum horsepower, the
S-AFC II allows the user to calibrate the fuel
system in accordance with performance upgrades
as they are installed. The AFC modifies the air
flow meter/ pressure sensor signal voltage going
to the factory ECU (Engine Control Unit) to change
the amount of fuel injected. The S-AFC II utilizes
a VFD (Vacuum Florescent Display) to display critical
data in three different modes.
Features for the S-AFC II include:
- newly designed case and user
interface,
- single button menu navigation,
- 12 point fuel correction in 200
RPM increments,
- data storage for two different
correction maps,
- password protection,
- integrated knock monitor,
- and 4 different display options.
The S-AFC II, while not completely
universal, comes preprogrammed with 15 of the
most commonly used air flow meter/pressure sensor
maps. By setting the AFC to one of these programs,
the user is able to adjust injected fuel amounts
by +/- 50%. 12 user defined RPM adjustment points
allow for fine tuning in 200 RPM increments. Fuel
can also be adjusted for part or full throttle
situations.
The Deceleration Air Flow Correction cures erratic
idle problems for Hot Wire vehicles equipped with
an open atmosphere blow off valve. The S-AFC II
can also display an incredible amount of data
including: Air Flow Capacity (Hotwire and Flap
Type only), Engine RPM, Throttle Position, Pressure
Sensor voltage, Karmann Frequency, and Air Flow
Meter Correction.
The S-AFC II displays data in three different
modes: Numerical, Analog, and Graph. Numerical
Mode allows the user to monitor up to four different
parameters in numbers and also shows peak hold
values on demand. The Analog Mode displays up
to two values in an easy to read meter style display.
Peak Hold is also included in this function. The
Graph mode offers real time graph plotting with
a Ghost map trace feature built in. The graph
can replay movement up to 60 seconds.

Power FC
The Power FC proudly stands as A'PEXi's answer to
the constraints and limitations associated with
most piggy-back style fuel controllers. The Power
FC is a complete, stand alone, total engine management
system capable of handling virtually anything thrown
in its path. From multiple point fuel and ignition
control to VTEC engagement (Honda applications)
and boost settings, the Power FC is capable of accommodating
even the most demanding performance enthusiasts.
The Power FC replaces the factory ECU and controls
all vital engine parameters (Off road use only,
no OBD-II). Installation is as easy as replacing
the factory ECU. (Some minor rewiring is required
on select vehicles). The factory engine harness
does not need to be replaced and all critical accessories
such as air conditioning continue to function. By
using the optional FC COMMANDER, the user can adjust
and modify a wide range of settings. Since there
is no need to upgrade ROM chips or modify ECU's,
the factory ECU can be kept by the original user.
The Power FC operates off of three Main Menus. These
menus are: Monitor, Setting, and ETC. In
Monitor Mode, the Commander can display up to
10 parameters of data in real time. Monitor Mode
can display:
- Engine RPM
- Ignition Timing
- Vehicle Speed
- Air Flow Voltage (Pressure Sensor
Voltage)
- Injector Duty Cycle
- Boost
- Knocking Level
- Battery Voltage
- Intake Air Temp
- Water Temp
In addition, there are 4 display
patterns allowing 1-8 parameters to be shown on
screen simultaneously. The data displays in numerical
real time values with the option of a real time
10 second graph display. Peak Hold values and
Display Hold functions only require the touch
of a button. The Map Trace Mode allows Ghost Map
Tracing of the Fuel Correction and Ignition Timing
maps. This allows the user to visually see what
point of the map is being used in real time. The
Ghost Map Trace function leaves markers on the
used portions of the map for easy reference.
Setting Mode allows full access to the 20x20 ignition
timing and fuel correction maps. The user can
adjust any portion of this map in 5x5 sections.
Air flow correction values can be entered for
vehicles upgrading air flow meters. Injector pulse
correction menu is used when upgrading injectors.
The Acceleration Enrichment Correction function
improves response under hard and sudden acceleration.
The Cranking Fuel Injection menu corrects the
amount of fuel delivered when the engine is being
cranked, or when the water temperature is cold.
A separate Water Temp menu allows fuel correction
according to water temperature. The RPM menu allows
rev limiter settings and idle RPM levels. Access
menus also vary according to specific applications.
Rotary engine Power FC's accommodate leading and
trailing ignition maps. Honda engines Power FC's
allow for VTEC control. Complete boost control
is possible by using the optional Boost Control
Kit. Changing data is easy: just access the desired
point on the map or data, and push the FC COMMANDER
keys in the appropriate direction.
The ETC Menu contains utility parameters such
as: version information, LCD screen brightness,
and initialization of all data. In addition, the
ETC Mode allows the user to monitor all factory
sensors through one screen. This screen can tell
the user if any sensor is in use or malfunctioning.
The Power FC also comes preprogrammed with several
base maps. (Currently with Japan Domestic Market
Vehicle Maps, minor initial tuning may be required.
This makes the initial tuning process much quicker.
As with all other fuel controllers, the POWER
FC should be tuned on a dynomometer by a trained
professional. A high grade air/ fuel ratio monitor
is also recommended during tuning to ensure best
results.
FC COMMANDER (part
of Power FC)
The FC COMMANDER is a hand held controller designed
to allow access to the vital parameters within
the Power FC. The unit allows a wide range of
data modification through its large back lit LCD
display. The unit has been designed so that one
finger can control a wide array of data. Once
connected, the A'PEXi logo will appear in the
screen taking the user to the Main Menu. From
here, the user can access the three Main Menus
(Monitor, Setting, Etc.) The FC COMMANDER "communicates"
with the Power FC control unit thereby creating
one of the first interactive user friendly fuel
management systems.
